Frances M. Weber, 97, of Sumner, died Friday, February 19, 2016, at the Hillcrest Home in Sumner.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Church in Sumner with Rev. Norman Bauer officiating.  Interment will follow at the church cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23^rd at Becker-Milnes Funeral Home in Sumner and for one hour preceding services at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be made in her name to St. John Lutheran Church in Sumner or St. Peter Lutheran Church-Richfield. 

Frances Martha, daughter of Frank and Ella (Baethke) Cannon, was born July 24, 1918, at Fairbank, Iowa. She was baptized June 29, 1919, and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fairbank. She received her education in the country school near Oran and attended Oran High School. On April 30, 1935, she was united in marriage with Myron R. Weber at the Methodist Parsonage in Fairbank. She and her husband farmed in the Readlyn area prior to moving to the Richfield area, where they remained until moving into Sumner in 1980. Frances was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church-Richfield prior to joining St. John Lutheran Church in Sumner, where she was active in the quilting circle.

Frances is survived by three sons, James (Carolyn) Weber of West Union, Richard (Karen) Weber of Waterloo, and Jerry (Martha) Weber of Palmetto, Florida; two daughters, Sandra (Randal) Mahurin of Marion and Connie (Douglas) Morgan of Dike; a daughter-in-law, Norma Weber of Osage; eighteen grandchildren; thirty-nine great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron in 2004; her son, Larry, also in 2004; two brothers, Robert and Frank Cannon, Jr.; and two sisters, Betty Lou Rees and Bernita Johnson.
